i think this person is made up of 5 different people standing in different directions at different angles... lol
however, if i let that slide i do enjoy the movement the body forms in it's awkward stance

but definitely fix that right leg...it's twisting
is she kicking? falling? tripping? showing off how far she can twist her leg? i just don't know o.o

i like that the foot points down, it works very well in this but the leg just distracts from it...
maybe instead of having it arch like that have it go down, then bend upward at the knee and then back down with the foot so that it creates a sort of backward N shape?

it would also be imposible for me to see the back of both of her knees with that much of her ribcage showing, she would have to be extremely bent over, not extremely stretched out on the far side lik in this image. move the hips a lil further up and make the waist and chest appear closer to each ovther.
the body can't extend on one side without contracting on the other.

i just watched a quick lesson on it with the step by step stages, did not see a stance anywhere with the foot pointed inward and down, not even during the reset. all that aside, even if that is what the person is doing, what i see in the image is just not physically possible period. it's not a matter of flexibility, it's as if this person is 9 heads tall and doing the same action.

the proportion of the legs are fine, although they appear twisted but from head to crotch it is 5 heads long. not likely. i could be more specific but i'm not trying to write an anatomical essay haha

thats just ignorance
manga is a stylization of anatomy, not an out right excuse to bypass it. the manga professionals don't just make up anatomy, they actually study it and then simplify it. there is an attempt at that here, but this drawing is lacking the very fundamentals of basic anatomy. sure you can go an make a 9 head figure, but you better know how to go about it because it can look wrong very fast.

You sure seem to know a lot of thing about drawing but your comments are too long~ also sorry to disappoint you but most of the manga pro are shit at real drawing, that's why they do manga. You don't need to know well a body, just being able to dinamize it and it's ok.

Ps: there is a difference between a manga illustrator and a mangaka (don't put at the same level of Kishimoto masashi [naruto])

well these days the "manga pro" are simply copying the old manga pros, and stylizing the older pro's stylizations of the body. I can't think of anything really that comes form the asian culture that isn't studied from life and then adapted into a life style, which is basically what manga started out as, knowledge of life that was adapted into a style.

I'm not really here to debate, from the get go i was simply saying that the leg is too distracting, due to how unreal it is, and pointing out what was wrong about it in case the artists wished to make a new virsion . I think it's an awesome drawing, but it does have weaknesses, and i'd like to see it w/o them
