Description
Or "The Truth Behind Blue Toad and Yellow Toad"Clearly I can't be the only one that noticed it...or am I?
Old habits are hard to break eh Nintendo?
I friggin' love my copy to death. Although there's pirates with bad "Let's Plays" of this game on YouTube and they suck on all counts (not just commentary). They should be thrown in butt-pounding prison with a man named "Stephanie".

Mario, Luigi and Toad are the creations of Nintendo, Miyamoto and Tezuka.
Also that song from BrentalFloss is unfunny sh*t

Huh, nice find. I wish they kinda kept that color scheme for the USA version of the SNES controller. I guess they worried that it looked "kiddy," or something. (Sense at the time in the earlier '90s everything had to be "edgier," and "cool," and such.)

Oddly, lilac and violet buttons were chosen for the US color scheme. Think Europe got to keep the M&M/Rainbow Chips colors though.

Yeah, they did. I guess they used those colors for the USA 'cause they looked more "high tech," or something. They kept the colorful buttons for the N64 & GameCube though.
Also, those are the colors for the Japanese Super NES/Famicom logo.

Nintendo's been using those colors since the old days.. I just thought they had just figured they would use blue and yellow for the Toads, because red and green were already used by Mario and Luigi, respectively. But, apparently, red, green, blue, and yellow were used since the Super Nintendo (Super Famicon) days.. I actually discovered a pattern with red, green, and blue (the primary colors), around the days of Nintendo 64, when I played "Ocarina of Time" but that's just me.. lol.

The four primary colors. They use these for almost every multiplayer they own ever since the N64.

I see what you did there, Nintendo.
Very clever.
...
but it still doesn't excuse you omitting Wario and Waluigi from the game.

Nintendo's been colouring things like this for long. Look at Band Brothers.

MugenKeiji In reply to YoungLink19 [2009-12-04 17:35:19 +0000 UTC]
They've been doing it longer than that and even then Band Brother's color codes the buttons in a VERY similar pattern.
The Super Famicom and N64 controller have a similar color sequence
The Special Zone's logo is that of the Super Famicom
Originally the GameCube controller was going to have similar color sequence to the N64 controller (Blue A, Green B and Red Start)
The four different Koopa Troopa shells in Super Mario World
The different colors of pipes in SMW and both NSMB games
Oddly enough, there's never a Yellow Link in any Four Swords games but a Purple one. Somewhat a subversion.

Yeah, the game was a leaked a LITTLE before its release and a bunch of "quick-to-fame" YouTubers thought everyone would kiss their butts by being the first kids on the block to do Walkthroughs and Let's Plays of the game.
There's a REASON why the 6 month rule is recommended...
