Illustration of Lord of the Flies.This is Ralph, outlawed and fleeing for his life through the jungle while deadly spears fly narrowly past him. Or at least that's the idea.

This is absolutely fantastic. I LOVE the style. You can see such pain, fear, panic and torment in his expression. It's just one truly great drawing.

I know the basic plot, at least.
I like this - the "ugliness" of it actually works really well for the gritty subject. I love the linework!
It seems like it could be a panel in a comic adaptation of the story - particularly with the way you've portrayed the spears as thick, red motion lines.
Really good stuff - you seem to have improved!
(Not to say you weren't good anyway!)

It's okay. I am currently working on my more observation based figure drawing skills. I think this is a bit ugly in various respects but it's an ok experiment I guess.

Neither have I, just read the book. It's relatively short and easy to get into for what's considered a classic, so it's definitely worth it.
