However, after Chrysalis' mother found out about this secret relationship, she manipulated and tricked Chrysalis into attacking The Crystal Empire. With this betrayal, Cadenza banished all changelings from ever entering The Crystal Empire. When they grew into young adults, Chrysalis learnt of Cadenza's coronation and marriage to her now husband, Shining Armour, Breaking the changeling's heart. From that day forward, Chrysalis swore on her life that one day, her children would have their fill.
