Description
Ahh... It's been a while since I uploaded anything. Not that anyone is whining about it.This submission is the first of several that I will be uploading in coming weeks of ceramics and sculpture completed through my studio arts minor at Southwestern University.
"Man Pointing" is a cast bronze sculpture by the famous artist Alberto Giacometti. This photo is a master copy I made using the lost wax process (made in wax, a mold is made around the wax, and molten bronze is poured into the mold. The wax burns out and is 'lost'). Measures about 22 inches tall and 16 inches wide. Relatively light for a bronze piece because he's so stringy
More information on the original piece can be found around the web including here: [link]
Download for all the gritty details. Because this is a copy of a masterwork, please do not redistribute this image. Normally I don't care about that.
