Description The fledglings are still being fed in my backyard. This noisy fellow doesn't seem as demanding as the Cardinals I had...

I worked outside the past couple of days and took small breaks instead of lunch to photograph. Shot from my deck.

Wonderful shot Melissa! Yup these little ones will beg till the parents just ignore them, then they feed on their own.

You might want to try and take out some of the blueish cast this pic has.The legs are a bit more pink then what is showing now.
Other than that .. Great comp, good light, focus right on.....Nice job!

Thanks! About the legs... hmmm... sure it's not a tree sparrow that has the pinker legs? I checked today and they are pretty light. Though, the blue cast could be caused by slight overcast sky.

Chipping Sparrows may be needy as discussed but they're some of the less shy feeder birds I've ever come across. These guys seem to be hesitant on visiting the feeder even when you're right beside it!

This shot reminds me of the begging fledglings I often find on the pavement outside my window, even the clear focus brings back memories of parental bonding, so in short, it's just so darn cute.

I'm finding that the young are very trusting. Maybe it's because they are "brought up" on the feeder food.

Thank you! Today I had some begging their dad - then they ate from the feeder right after... only to beg him again!
