It's a monster's eye. I only realized way after I posted this that I should have made it look like he ripped it out of something.
Although in his universe you could probably use an eye like that to power certain spells so it could double as a mystical object to some people...
I'd assume he's about to crush it regardless. After all he's boring and wouldn't do anything fun with something like that.
