Description
The result of a collaboration with 10art1 , where he did the sketch and line art, and I colored and shaded. It shows one possible take on how the royal sisters of Canterlot may see each other, after one thousand years apart. You can visit my collaborator's deviation page here:Β

Why do I see Patton when I look at Luna's perception of Celestia?

Great work!! ^_^ Β I thought, this doesn't look like his normal art style. heheΒ * read description, became obvious.Β I love the galaxy in Luna's manes and those lighting bolts all the details are incredible!

Those background details may be a little excessive given that the lineart style is quite simplified and cartoony, but I sure had fun doing them! Thank you for enjoying it!

But Celestia knows that it wasn't Luna. It was Lifeform called Nightmare.

You may have noticed that every time someone says that, I link to a video of a metal cover of Pachelbel's Canon in D.
Because, yeah, extreme.

Interesting to see the melding of two styles, great job
This is probably peculiar to me, but I immediately thought of Luna's perception being as Celestia being an American president, due to the showing off of military and her lack of using old english and the royal we (I read on the other artist's page that she's meant to look like an asian dictator thoughβ¦hmm)

Well, it IS hard to translate such a complex concept to a pony's complexion.
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed this.

The riding crop put me in mind of General Patton, though I'm not sure how to connect that with Luna's view of Celestia.

This kind of mistrust would had, and did, become very dangerous.
I wonder if they could had equal chance of falling into darkness...

I don't think so, Celestia is clearly much higher in the temperance scale.
