He'd be a Santa in a way, his parents came from a long line of present and gift makers, and he wanted to be something unique. He showed his parents a picture of the Santa the humans admired, and his parents shut him down, saying he can’t be a Santa like that. So he set off to train under the human Santa and do gift delivering in his own way. After the training had been done, he came back, his parents clearly disappointed at where he’d gone, but once he told how he felt, his parents eventually opened up, since then he’s been kinda like a Santa, delivering gifts to the others.
