Description Maggie, being a fairy godmother of some renown, was experienced in the ways of bringing maid and match together, and so could easily spot a keeper in Brian, a noble wood elf of the Chestershire. It was not long after their wedding, and in a special moment at the gala reception, they stole away for a secret kiss, creating their very own, rare, Love Tree. It is said that when a couple passes by a love tree of a couple with strength and passion in their marraige, the wandering couple is filled with the kindness and generosity of true love. But when the love tree withers and dies, it is a testament to the bitterness that can grow with age. This love tree shall grow ancient with pure love, and shower happiness on human couples for countless generations. The spot in this magically flowering glen soon became known as the "kissing path" to the local residents of the area.

When you come upon a love tree, tend to it with care - the more that exist, the more lovely magic there is in the world.

For Brian and Maggie, on their wedding day.

You should turn this story into an illustrated children's book and then give it to Maggie and Brian's children if they ever have any.

P.S. I bet it would also sell well.

Aw thanks - I'm a painter though, not a storyteller. This was a commission too - it's not someone I know personally.

I like to make up small stories like this while I paint because my brain is idle while my hands are busy Thanks for the compliment though!

Pretty and romantic~ That purple is very vibrant too among the green plants, it's so lovely! And that beautiful teal in the back! Love your sense of color! I'm sure they love this! And the blurb that goes with!

Thanks! I alone cannot take credit for the purple - it is the bride's color in the real life wedding of Brian and Maggie, and so I chose that for the wings and flowers to bring more of a tie in to the couple (besides the likeness and the initials in the tree).

The painting is not entirely of my taste but I do dearly wish the couple is thrilled with it.

It's still lovely. How is it not your taste? Just curious. I wanted to say it looked a bit more saturated from your usual/recent stuff, but I know you've worked in saturated colors before too.

In all my latest personal rough work, my fae are surreal and transformed, strange and not humanlike at all. Here, she is a human with wings stuck on - and small wings. Originally they were larger and took up more of the composition, but I made the couple larger and her wings smaller. This was at the request of the client. I make no complaints though, most of the public seems to like this form of magical representation, but I myself am more drawn to the absurd. I'll upload some doodles soon to show you what I mean.

Well, technically bigger wings makes sense. From a science point of view at least. Animals/creatures wings should be about 2x their body size. But the lines of absurdity are obscure anyway. >< I can't wait to see the doodles~ I am here stuck inside due to the hurricane, so I have nothing on my plate!

How did you fare through the storm? I agree about the wings, but I understand she wanted to see more of the portrait and less of the wings.... the canvas was only 11x14" so there was a real estate issue.

I still think it turned out rather well! The doodles still need to be scanned. I'm tired tonight...

My family lost power at home, but I'm at school and the university didn't get too much damage. (most damage was from the earthquake earlier that week).

11X14? Wow, that is tiny! That's just a bit bigger then my sketch book paper. That is crazy. And you still got so many details in there. Starting to think you're an art elf and you can do magical things.... It really is lovely~ Hope you got a good rest!

Thank you so much! I like making up stories about my work.. the paintings take so long, the ideas fill the time while I wait for the hand to finish!

Yeah, sometimes I write out the story if it's pretty cute, like this one.
