We were talking about this in Church today so I felt the need to make a crappy 5-minute stamp rofl.
People now say Happy Holidays instead of Merry Christmas because it might offend people.
I dunno I'd find it offensive if I was working somewhere and I was told not to say "Merry Christmas"
I'd say it anyway but then again I can be a bitch about some stuff lols.

I thinkk there is way too much hype over THEY ARE TAKING CHRIST OUT OF CHRISTMAS. I think people recognize that its a christian holiday in its origins (along with a few other various religious elements other then christianity that no one seems to acknowledge) and yeah, never heard anyone get offended by it, infact most non-christian people that still celebrate christmas say merry christmas anyway. And if that bank refusd to put christmas trees up so not to offend thats reaaally bloody stupid in the first place and further more seeing as its not a christian christmas symbol anyway its just, blatant idiocy lolol
I think the bigger issue here isn't losing the religious aspect of it but losing the whole spirit of christmas altogether. This christmas over here has been so over commercialized and over sold its sick and depressing and no ones happy cause everyones just stressed over buying shit theres no spirited vibe coming from anyone. Its a time where everyones supposed to be happy and caring towards each other and where complete strangers smile at each other in the street cause its freaking christmas time people. Just really feels like christmas is dead this year.

I've always said, if you see a creche displayed on the City Hall lawn on your way to work, or if someone wishes you a Merry Christmas at the store, and you get offended, then you're the one with the problem, not them.
