Veronica Shepard turns herself in after the events of Arrival. Leaving behind the Normanday, her friends, and her best friend and lover, Garrus Vakarian.Sentenced to a life of mediocrity, Shepard at first attempts to stay in touch with those closest to her, though that does not last long.
She doesn't know who she is without being "Commander Shepard." You take that title away, and what is left? A lost woman who only knows how to fight, and doesn't know how to fight hard enough to gain what she has lost.

Yes, that IS a Widow. And you are only seeing one part of her apartment, so she might have pictures of the others elsewhere. Not to mention the picture in the frame on the desk that she is barely touching with her fingers. Wrex is just the.. most Photogenic.
