Description
A personal artpiece.I have always hated my old octomaiden painting which I painted 8 months ago ( fav.me/d5nkin7 ) and suddenly decided to redo the octomaiden concept and make a much cooler this time around to do the awesomeness of the race justice. It was also a big big test to see how far I had gotten with my art since then. I wanted to compare and check my improvement, and honestly, I am quite stunned hehe xD.
hope you like!

Indeed you can see you've learned a lot, all the tentacles look like they belong there, it looks great. Your link doesn't take me to the old work, so I searched myself lol. What I like about the old work is the light

Oh stupid brackets >;o Thanks for pointing that out! It should work now
The old one has very unrealistic light, even though it's more dreamy I didn't like it hehe xDΒ
Thanks <3Β

That's really awesome!!!
What type of graphic tablet do you use? (I ask this because I want to buy a graphic tablet but I don't know which to choose ^^)

Hey Thanks! ^^
About the tablets;
It depends on what you're looking for. If you don't have a tablet yet I suggest you start out with either a bamboo or intuos by Wacom, they're good tablets and not too expansive and many professional artists work on an on-the-table tablet.Β
I however use a Cintiq 21 UX DTK. It's fancy but it's also very expensive, and if you don't have the money to spend on such an expansive tablet but do wish to use a tablet with a screen in it for personal preferences, you can either opt for a smaller cintiq (which is still expansive) or go for a Yiynova msp19u. This is like 90% cintiq for 1/4th to 1/3rd of the price so I'd say that's a pretty neat deal. I've heard good things about it haven't tried it myself yet though.Β
I hope that helps with your tablet search!Β
Also, if you're really serious about art, then be sure to spend it wisely and see it as an investment in your future ^^ Choose whichever tablet suits you best Β

You're welcome
Thank you very much for your advices, it's really nice. At first, I wanted to buy a Cintiq 13HD, but I found it a bit expensive.... However, I think that if I invested a little more money, I could have an optimal quality... And I never used a graphic tablet sooo I don't know if I should try, at first, a less expensive tablet (a Bamboo for example). However, if I'm getting used to working with a tablet like a Bamboo and after that I buy a Cintiq, will I have more trouble to getting used with this one? It's mostly what makes me hesitate on my choice...

Nah, switching tablets isn't that troublesome.
Especially when you go from an on the table tablet like a bamboo or intuos to a tablet with an inbuilt screen like a cintiq or a yiynova, because they'reΒ so different.
The other way around may prove to be a little bit difficult because for a tablet with a screen you can use your hand position for coordination of brush strokes, but with a tablet without a screen you won't see your hand and thus can't use that to plan out strokes. Your coordination may be a little bit off.Β
But worry not, getting used to a tablet without a screen will take up to a week at most if you draw a lot, and with both you can make artwork that is just as awesome as when its made on the other.Β
It's not like having a screen in your tablet will make you paint better .Β
I used to work on a wacom graphire 4 for many years before getting my cintiq and had 0 trouble.Β
As for considering a tablet with a screen, I really suggest you really look into the yiynova msp19u because it could save you a lot of money.Β

Thank you so much for your help, I appreciate it a lot!Β
Yesterday, I decided to try the Bamboo Splash tablet and it works pretty good!!! I decided to buy this one and when I will have more money, I'll buy the Cintiq 13HD.
