Our Flag is undergoing transition now. I don't think it is all good. It started in the late 60s during the Vietnam war when protesters burned them and hung them in windows as curtains and things like that. but I do think that a fairly casual attitude is good. What is your country?

Israel. I don't like symbols, cause people charging it with demonic feelings and beliefs, then going to kill other people for it...

Yes, that is what is bad about looking at the symbol and not the real thing...the people ..

yes, nostalgia... lots of folks try to re-create that here. Truth is you can leave your house open all day and feel completely safe around here. it's nice... like going back in time.

I never lock my house and I only lock my car in Anchorage, unless nanika is in the car. I cant risk some one stealing Tyf's doggie so I gotta lock up, they can have my car just dont take the dog
A lot of the area around where live is like going back in time...very old cabbins w/ outhouses ect... I would love to get pics of some of them but around here people who live in most of these are there to be away from everyone and might just come out w/ a shot gun. Crazy old coots

The upper peninsula of Michigan is possibly the closest thing to Alaska in the continental U.S. Folks go there to hide away...to hunt and fish... and to associate with something beside humans. I love going up there because you can just relax and be whoever you are...nobody asks questions, nobody asks anything most of the time. LOL

Cool to be in places like this, isn't it.

This image to me just speaks of freedom and peace, of patriotism too of course, but more the other two. It could be of any flag and it still probably would, but the American flag seems to emphasise it.
Hope you had a great holiday weekend

Hellooooooooooooooo! I start w/my favorite in the bunch of 4th's pics. That one is a killer! I like the composition a lot, maybe because the flag is just 'suggested' and not obviously shown. I love the colors, I sort of can feel the rust of the bike at my fingertips! However, I think the light is a lil'weak but no big deal, it adds something extra to the pic Another one for your 2006 calendar! Goooood job Cheers--fLOW.

This one's great! I can't relate to the patriotic bit but what grabs me is the tones of blue and red, and they're very attractive. Also the texture of the material and the bikes work well together. It's one of those things without rules that just works and you don't really know why, but it's all to do with texture and colour.....I think?

It will be okay I think. I've been sick for several days... bad sore thoat and temperature... yukky feeling.

I'm a little better today seems like. We go to this party at a friend's house. It's all older folks and usually quite boring but Im determined to at least get a good portrait out of it.

It's also rainy and dreary so far today...

Been busy with family stuff... feels good to be needed... ughhh heheh I'm an auntie 11 times. lol.... my bros just keep on procreating... I wonder when it will end. Well I will be a godmother come this July 17th... and the funny thing is that this weekend was the first time she has ever let me hold her for more than 1 minute. no joke. lol.... she is 9 months old...and VERY active... she's trying to walk already. lol.... the funny thing is that she get's a kick out of playing fetch with adults. lol.... she throws, we fetch... and she laughs so hard!!! She did this for about a half hour the other day with me and her brother. SO things are decent.. NOthing to kill myself about.. I have been feelin a lil edgy today though.... It'll pass... I hope all is well with you though...

take care hun!

Your parents are lucky to have so many grandkids. It's fun. I was one of those that walked at 9 months... and my daughter was pulling up and trying to walk by 8 months... amazing! She turned out to be a dancer... maybe it was a sign... just had to get up on those feet and get movin'

Glad you are doing so well... and are busy. Things round here are fine. I'm longing to go back to LA. I miss seeing my children and am just a bit bored here now. Not sure why.. it's like heaven, warm and blue skies and the lake is gorgeous. But I'm longing to travel... take off to places unknown. sigh
