Description
So many have photographed the calla lily and so many much more technically proficient than I. Historically it is a common subject.But there is some comfort in knowing that no two artists see their subject exactly the same way.

i think that "technically proficient" is the point. i have seen tons of calla shots where the photographer did their best to have a sharp and detailed macro image, with long depth of field and a black-black background. beautiful images at a first glance, but cold and mainstream.
yours is an interpretation rather than a reproduction, and it is inspiring and full of feeling.
