Oh, those were the days. . .My favorite part of this image is my son jumping into frame and the edge of my husband's guitar just visible.

This could easily fallen into the cliche, however I'm wowed by the freshness of the incongruent with the guitar, your son and your very intense and penetrating look. It feels almost like you are looking into my world while your frenetic world gladly plays around you. I can almost hear the music of family life. Wonderous glimpse into your world.

Grrrrreat Pic, simple in substance but since you dated it....well....much more emotive...
You're a slightly better vintage than I am ;0) (born a year before Kennedy and Dallas) but I'm still in touch with those days....
There is a distinct feeling of Rock Chick chic about this, almost as though it should be part of a biog. Your son and the guitar are the icing on the cake!
Circa '71 Nixon, Vietnam...Watergate rapidly approaching....David Cassidy? The Osmonds? The Jackson 5?....Happy times for me, I guess that they were for you too.

I listened to Miles, Herbie Hancock, and lots of other jazz, along with Mountain, Three Dog Night, John Sebastian, crazy wild rockers of all kinds, Paul Simon, James Taylor ... I walked in protests of the war, had a 'power to the people' banner on my house and walked around with no bra under my tees.

If you don't mind my asking, is that a font you have used on the photo?
If so would you be able to let me know what it is as it really adds to the retro feel.
FYI the late 60s early seventies saw me in corduroy jeans, airtex T's, and black basketball boots...the ones that had the little rubber ankle protector caps on the sides
If you saw 'Stand By Me' I was a kind of amalgam of the gang....with aspirations to be a great artist.....oh how things change

As an aside, I used to have a lot of stuff and a lot of fun on here but as I've got more and more serious about my photography I have a problem using the site to host my pics (I do a lot of kids portrait work). I don't think some of my clients (usually kids parents from school or friends of the family) would be too impressed with some of the other content on the site. Flickr is another option, but that too has content issues. I don't suppose you know of any other good photo sites..that may be a little more on the 'Quaker' side of content?

Hmmmmm, I wish I did. I am currently trying to learn to do web sites so I can set one up for myself. Most of the sites have content issues. Because of what I do, I still send people to this one. But I really really need another site! I'll look around some more.
