I've never entered a competition through DeviantArt before but when I came across Kinkei's sketch I couldn't resist but to colour it.Her style and gallery is amazing.

This was completed purely in Adobe Illustrator CS5. 7 hours (with breaks in between ofcourse) and 68 layers later, this is the result.
I'm pretty happy with it!
