I see in your description that you said you're not too happy with this, but there are a few elements I really like, and this image has a lot of potential: I like the pose, the direction of her gaze, and the framing and composition, and I think you've used those elements to convey the tension of the situation very well.  I like the character herself, she's beautiful and has exotic and interesting eyes.  Her skin material is convincing.

Like any image there are certainly areas where there could be improvement, I know how frustrating it can be when the final image doesn't match your internal expectations (which is just about every image I create).  It's especially tough to get the lighting just right for a scene that takes place in a dark environment.

Edit: I didn't realize the character was inspired by the Bosmer until I saw some of your other Elder Scrolls-inspired images, but now it's obvious, I should have recognized her "exotic eyes" and face paint, and her pose looks very natural for someone who has lived among the trees.  I mean that as a compliment, I like that she is both inspired by a known race but is also still an interesting and unique character in her own right.

wth I thought I had replied to this. I guess dA threw it out or something.

Thank you so much for looking this over and for your insight. I always appreciate it when people take the time to leave feedback, especially when it's so thought-out and constructive. If I remember correctly, this was supposed to show her breaking into some jail in Skyrim, so I'm glad the emotion of the picture matches that. To be honest, I don't remember the exact complaints I had with this, and looking at it now, I don't think it's quite as bad as I did initially. But I do know it's not what I had pictured, and yeah, as you said, that can be really frustrating. I have better hardware now, so maybe I'll give this another try sometime if I can dig up the scene file.

Again, thank you very much, and I'm sorry my reply is so short. I never seem to be able to focus my thoughts enough when commenting/replying to write anything very long without rambling uselessly.
