This is the kind of drawing that I like people to draw their own conclusions from ^_^It was originally an ink drawing for Inktober, but I wanted to add some color to it. Which I might as well do, since Inktober is over lmao.

A bit late (by a few years) on commenting, but to me this looks like a representation of how people will attack that selfie (and thus the girl) once it's posted somewhere. All without knowing anything about her.

Okay, so....let's pretend for a second that people didn't literally sit in front of a canvas for hours/days to get their portraits painted. Let's pretend for a second that people enjoying portraits of themselves is a new thing, and let's also pretend like that desire isn't based off of the fact that we seldom get to see our own faces outside of looking at our reflection.

I think that what is meant in this painting - is that some people get addicted to taking selfies, that need to look perfect on social media while real life isn't as pretty. Getting likes and feeling good about yourself, without likes feeling ugly and undesired, worthless, something that I didn't go through, neither my friends, but I know a lot of people can get dragged in by the monster in a trap. Just my opinion though

I really love the colour scheme! I personally agree that this piece can be interpreted as social media being the number 1 consumer of our time and energy. But looking through other interpretations is very intriguing

The camera can become a monster if you let it. Vanity that consumes an over abundance of your time and activities can create a hidden monster that will only become hungrier for your attention.

Ah. I may let my brother get that game since I just bought one from the same guys though it has nothing to do with personas and more with pop music in Japan. Ever heard of it? It's called Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (also features characters from the Fire Emblem universe as "mirages", which you use in place of personas XDD ).

So, my friend and I were bored and we decided to draw our own conclusions, so here's mine, (we had 15 mins, and my friend doesn't want to send his in cause he thinks its not as good) hope you enjoy
Kate sat on her bed waiting for the day to end when she could finally go to sleep and forget that the world existed. The sun was just finishing its journey over the mountain peaks when Kate’s cell phone started vibrating from beside her pillow, she mumbled incomprehensibly at the the device hoping it would be quiet and leave her alone, it didn’t, she glared at it from where she lay on her bed half regretting the day she’d made the contract with the hellish beast.
“Let me out now little kitten you’ve procrastinated long enough and I hunger” a raspy voice proclaimed from inside the device. Kate sighed, “as long as you don't go after one of my friends again then fine”
“I don’t make that decision, they do” the voice from inside the phone said matter of factly.
Kate grabbed the phone and looked at the demonic inky face with eyes that looked remarkably like lightning staring back at her, as if wanting to rend her soul. Kate slide her finger across the phone and the face that’d been staring back at her leapt from the screen in, surprisingly fast for something seemingly made of Ink and rage, as it finished coming out, Kate felt her emotions freeze somewhat, still there, under the surface but easily ignored.
“Let us hunt” the creature announced, raspy voice filled with anticipation.
“Lemme get dressed real quick, I can’t exactly harvest dressed like this” she said gesturing to the outfit she currently wore, while going to the closet to change.
“Oh you could” the creature said swirling around her body as she walked into her closet “You just refuse to, even though you look absolutely ravishing souls while dressed like that” Kate ignored the comment and got dressed in clothes far from her usual attire. Hiking boots, baggy jeans, and a thick hoodie with “Reaper written on it. “Let's go” she said to the creature before jumping out the windy onto the darkening street below.
