This is the kind of drawing that I like people to draw their own conclusions from ^_^It was originally an ink drawing for Inktober, but I wanted to add some color to it. Which I might as well do, since Inktober is over lmao.

selfies can be affirming! some people call it narcissistic, but it can be important especially for girls to appreciate themselves especially in a world where they are often commodified by men. and some just do it for fun! perhaps she is the real beast - in a good way, heh

I don't have a YouTube sorry ^..^; but I'll tell you that I used traditional inks, did the color in Photoshop and fished it with traditional textures.

The craze is fed by vanity; or in other words, there is a strong correlation between selfies and narcissism. Well, to some extent. And just on the side, seeing how girls sort of dominate the whole selfie game thing on Snapchat and Instagram and whatever, it's only right to use a girl as the persona in this piece... that and girls are way more fun to draw :3
