Description
Jonothon from 's steampunk story with his artificial leg off and a bit of a come-hither look (inspired by a scene where Sterling helps Jonothon remove the prosthesis).Pencil with soft color pencil, cleaned-up in Photoshop.
Story Time Again!
I'm tempted to call this THAT DAMN DRAWING because so much kept going wrong before I got it right. That story is for another time and place though.
Anywho, I wanted a more referenced image of Jonothon in my mind's eye, so I went with John Barrowman because he's easy on the eyes and Jack Harkness and Jon have a lot in common (between the sheets wise, oh ho ho).
After looking at Mr. Barrowman's pictures for a bit, I went with a muscle shirt (I don't care if it's an anachronism, the man looks good in a muscle shirt!) and dangly suspenders (always hot), then put a few action marks on him (he gets shot at- you don't always walk away clean). Last, going with the scene I was thinking of, I wanted to show off his scarred stump of a leg. Again, I may be messing with 's canon here, but I like the idea of his metal leg plugging into his biological knee in some way so I put some plugs and extra scar tissue on the limb.
Even though this gave me much grief, I'm quite happy with it. I'm enjoying the soft leaded pencils as contrast too- though I'm going to be a bit more careful in the future.

To tell you the truth I haven't quite figured out how Jon keeps his leg on ... I keep meaning to do more research on prosthetics but I keep getting distracted by other less important things.
Anyway, I love his come-hither look XD OH JON
