Description
This is my entry for 's coloring contest of her beautiful line work!! [link]I just love her line art! Puts mine to major shame!! Makes me want to work on more perspective and variation in my drawings. Too often mine are just posed, flat.
I decided to give Alexstrasza her actual skin tone this time, unlike my version

Aw ty! Not really sure how I got to this point either , lots of practice I guess! I tend to do something different every piece so the coloring steps are never the same ha

Wow this turned out stunning! I love what you did with the cape and adapted to fit so well with in the drawing. And love how the sheer drape drops below the drawing line and gives it a lot depth. Really great job! And thank you for spending the time to enter into my contest.

It is alot of fun to work with, for me at least! I love how crisp you can get things. I do a bulk of my coloring in flash, then move it to photoshop for effects and such.

That's pretty cool, I always did wonder, I've never been able to get stuff really sharp and crisp in photoshop but then I'm not immensely trained with it hehe.

When I first started working with digital art I did it in photoshop but it took FOREVER lol and even then the results were not as I desired. In photoshop you can't really shift/move the gradients, you have to place them right or keep replacing them (unless I totally missed something) but in Flash you can fill the color, change it, turn it into a gradient if you want then shift it around without having to try and lay it the right size and in the right place like photoshop.
Even if it isn't something you stick with, its fun to start with. I found it really easy to learn though, that is why I chose it as my vector program over Illustrator.

Yes photoshop is annoying with the gradients
I've been told to look at Illustrator for my upcoming college course, if flash is easier I might start with that first then
Thanks for the heads up!
