It's amazing the way you work with this mist, creating something like a texture to your pic. Great shot, your're a beast!

He's old, he's alone, but it's his herd and he still stands sentinel over them.

Wonderful catch. The mist obscuring the bison a bit really gives the scene an intriguing effect.

Atmospheric (no irony intended) and beautifully composed. The limited range of muted colours is very effective.

Wow that looks awesome, it looks like those old western movies, XD I half expect some native americans came running around the corner right after you shot this XD
What is a thermal area?

Oh boy
The only kind of wildlife you are apt to encounter in my part of the world is sheep and wild goats! No, wait, that not even wildlife
Excellent shot once again Nate!

yeah i'm very lucky thats for sure. The sad thing is these bison used to roam America by the millions and now there are only a few places left that they exist in the wild.

Absolutely amazing, Nate. It's like an old western painting lovingly restored or brought to life. I like both photos very much, but this one has a much lonelier feel. Both belong in the Cowboy Artists of America museum or something.

How breath taking! I can almost smell the thermal mist rising from the ground. This piece brings back found memories of my time spent in Yellowstone. Thank you for posting such a lovely photo.
