Description
To purchase this image as an exclusive limited edition print please visit my website @ WWW.NATEZEMAN.COMThe red fox is perfectly adapted to living in the harshest of conditions. A subzero night time snowstorm doesn't stop this one from getting in a few winks.
This is probably the only nature photo I've taken that used something other than natural light. I'm not sure if it works or not but i thought it was interesting enough to post. Lemme know what you think!

Do you got a hard time finding this fox in the middle of a snowy night? I had the idea foxes are hard to catch!

I think the light works. Brings out the bright orange fur on the neck, and makes the fox stand out against the dark background.

I think the lack of light is really neat. The fox stands out more and so do the little snowflakes falling on him (cute). It also gives off the atmosphere of the bitter storm you mentioned. Light would have taken that away.

Looks great to me Nate, well framed, and focused. Did you just use a torch for the light?

How is this possible? How can you sneak up this close on a wild fox?!
Is that fox retarded or what?
If you were a trapper it would be toast!
As for the flash you used. I like pictures more when its natural light. But this one is ok

Oh wow. That is adorable! <3
I love how the snowflakes are caught in the flash light as well and stand out from the dark background.

How the fox manage to sleep in such weather is amazing. I like how you captured the whole thing: The red fur, the white snow, the black background and the falling snow make it such a peaceful sight.

Wonderful photo! You created a wonderful contrast with your flashlight, which makes the picture and the fox even more interesting I think

The lighting is perfect, it brings out the difference in contrast between the fox, and it glitters up the snow for a more stunning appeal.
^^
