That's quite an outstanding photo. I love the mood, the whole lively, dynamic feeling you get from it. The colors and composition are perfect and the picture just oozes depth.
I'd say it's a conceptual photo (or something) instead of photojournalism, but that doesn't really matter.

i love how the sky is so blue the higher up in elevation you are...

looks like a floaty backside 180 to me. The rider is very centered which usually kills the composition ... but this works great with the cabin and towering pine.... not to mention the circle like effect of those clouds.
The lenses on the goggles ... great focal point.
