Had a weird crush on her when I was a kid... But that's besides the point! This is a really great illustration; the shading on her curves is excellent, and attention to detail on her claw-things is utterly meticulous! Awesome job!

Yep. We're on Summer Break right now. The School keeps a very highschool-like schedule. We start in September, and we get out in May.

so like a regular college then. i thought classes might continue in the summer like some technical programs do. how do you like it there? i always thought is sounded cool. if i could get a do-over i would want to do something like that or SCAD, instead of getting my BA.

My first year was very eye-opening. We got introduced to the amount of work you'll end up doing as a professional and the intensity of some of the deadlines you'll be dealing with (which i learned the hard way).

It was really cool to be living with other actual artists (i dormed it) and to be able to converse with them daily and all share our work and just talk art.

Our instructors were all excellent, with the exception of one who shall go unnamed, but we got a replacement eventually (although i wish we never needed one).

I loved it and can't wait for year 2.

yeah, i was looking at John Byrne's forum the other day (why?), and he was going on about deadline's. he's kind of a douche, but if anyone has the right to talk about deadlines it would be him. The guy works almost a year in advance. there's really only a handful of artists today that can produce a book month in and month out.

Oh, and i believe the corespondence courses MIGHT be year-round? You'd have to check out the website, [link] for some more info on that.

And i believe they have Saturday classes that you can sign up for over the Summer, as well.
