Stopped by the Fox den this morning and watch the little ones for awhile. Well they are not that little anymore, almost the same size as Mom.Mom has dug a couple of new den holes for these guy's and now they are really more independent than last week. They each have a hole of their own, and don't use the original den at all.
Sorry to report this but I saw only 5 Kits this morning and one of the older den holes looks like it was dug up by coyotes..... sad to say it. I think the coyotes might have made off with the other 3 or 4 kits that were using that den hole.

Hi Renard, yeah it's tough,but we have to remember that nature can seem cruel and heartless at times.. but those Coyotes have pups of their own to feed also.All part of that natural cycle.
I was really disappointed that my favorite, "Little White Foot" , was part of that den.He was such a cute poser for me.
