Love how this can be interpreted. To me it says the world is a dark, scary place; can't quite put her whole self into it. And yet, I find it inspiring, especially by your title - to resurface when the spirit is ready. Therapeutic piece of art!

This is so symbolically beautiful. I just came out of an abusive relationship and I felt like I was drowning from all the manipulation and control that was placed upon me. I see myself in this piece of art. I am broken, but I am resurfacing, and I can breathe again. I will cry, I will hurt, but I can breathe. And I am finally free. Thank you for your beautiful and captivating work. I truly admire it.

Interesting that this piece resonates with you so much, since I'm actually recovering from emotional abuse as well. I also felt like I was drowning, like I was being overwritten.
