I was about three-hundred yards away. No wind, no humidity. It's a tiny bit cloudy. There she is, just about to fly out of town. She's the one alright. She's the girl I've been looking for. I looked around the town again, no guards in sight. It was calm, everything was calm, and I had my eyes on her. She was flying over the town almost to the outskirts of town. I smirked… then pulled the trigger, and caught her right in front of her left ear. She fell straight down, but got snagged by a cloud big enough to hide her. That was good; I didn't have to clean up this time. That's what she gets for hurting my friends, the people I love. I looked back through the town, and all was still good. No mass panic, just a few wondering heads who were curious about the loud bang followed by the pop. I ejected the empty casing from my weapon, then headed back to the castle. Gilda… No one will miss her.Related content

Thank you, I showed this to two of my friends and they said it didn't catch them at first cause it sounded like a love story... the they were like "Holy crap, you caught my interest so fast."

Yes the beginning does sound like the starting of a love story but when I read "I smirked... then pulled the trigger" it caught my attention like snap before I knew it I was done reading and said to myself "what a cool little twist"
