Well I certainly did, to say the least. A coloring of a sketch by Butty-Butter of Setsuna from Fire Emblem Fates. The sketch was done at my request as part of their 3k Sketchathon; I was immensely satisfied with the results, as the work uses Setsuna's affinity for getting stuck in traps to create a unique angle and sensual situation. This is the first coloring that I can say is full and proper; no longer is my work here a mere flat coloring, but complete with light and shadow. Much of the credit on that front can be taken by Butty-Butter for their guidance when I asked questions; their aid has been invaluable throughout the entire process, and I doubt I would have created a coloring with half the quality of the current one without their input. Another layer of their input was the use of a colored background over my usual white and grays, which I believe has lead to a more dynamic final product. Every part of this piece to me is a highlight; the weight put on her arms, the sag of her belly, the indentation caused by the fondling hands, the raising of her calves and the expression of futile struggle that belies a hidden consent. I feel this is a culmination of my work thus far, and I look forward to even more colorings and perhaps even work made by my own hand that can meet this level of quality in the future.
