Description
But it was SO WORTH IT!!!
Remeber that pool I posted like four weeks ago about making an animation of Neffertity doing something? Well this is it! I made her run cycle to show everyone what she looks lke when she runs.
As you can tell, her wings stay tucked in, that gives her more speed, also, her tail moves in correspondance with her body and spine. Her body doesn't stretch out like a snake when she runs either like most dragons. Her frame stays dainty.
As for the shading, I wanted to do cell shading, but it was going to take too long, so I just did a global lighting instead...
Done in Photoshop CS5, GIMP, and MS Paint
Time taken, roughly 24 hours total
Drawn on paper and scanned
Overall, I like how it came out.
Neffertity/art are Β© ME
!!!PLEASE DO NOT REPOST ANYWHERE!!!

It's something that comes with ALOT of patience and practice. Doing small tasks helps for beginners.
I started with blinking, then worked up to smiling, then a single word, then flight, and now running.
I still have ALOT to learn though. I'm no where near as good as

That is totally awesome! Run Neffy, run!
I have just idea - what about animations in vector software?
If I understand right, you can make for example paw, set colors, shades,....and (I'm not perfectly sure with it, but I mean it's working like that) when you move with paw, colors and changes will move too and stay on paw (and if they're be bad, you can change angle). I mean in Inkscape it was working like that. Maybe it can be useful, but as I wrote, I'm not sure with that.....

More than free, it's open source [link]
With animations I thought something like this [link] (export images and then make animations from them)

okay Maybe it will be useful
I read with tablet it's perfect....but I was using it always only with mouse (bΓ©zier curves).

You're lucky, we haven't I mean even scanners, I know in IT classroom only about one
And I never tried to draw with tablet, I'm still wondering how is it working (if is it absolute or relative, how sensitive it is,....)....rawrrrr, I want one! But I also want to try it until I buy one, I don't want to be disappointed

I...can't....resist! I'll buy one! ....in future
Can I have one question about tablets?

(I hope I'm writing it right) You wrote it's like pen and paper....that means absolute coordinates (when you imagine desktop, so when you start in center, then it draws until center)? Or relative (doesn't matter where on tablet you start to draw and it continues until place where is cursor)....or you can switch between it?
I'm little confused of this, I know it's stupid question, but it's good to know what I'm going to buy As I wrote, I had never tablet in paw

Neffertity In reply to Dreit [2011-03-05 21:38:47 +0000 UTC]
hmmmm......
Well the tablet has a blank space in the center which is where the tablet pen uses pressure to draw. It takes some getting used to before you can draw normally on it though. But if you draw off you're canvas, it works like paper. The lines dissapear.
If you're using photoshop, gimp, ms paint, or even on the internet, it works just like a mouse. If you click something, it clicks, if you select a brush or pencil, it draws, if you right click the side switch, it right clicks.
Does that answer your question? Or do you still need more info?

Okay, maybe I see how you mean that I just don't know how to ask simply
I wanted to ask like.....
You draw line. When you do new move on tablet, it will draw on similar place or continue until place where you ended? (still bad formulation....maybe more simple is just buy it )
I'm going to use it with Gimp....and maybe with Inkscape

kinda. If you press it to the pad, it draws. If you pick it up, it stops.
