Description Previous:   Next:

Here's installment of the comic that started out as outtake reel for Requiem with a Birthday Cake and since devolved into any dopey FNAF gags that come into my head.

Well, the comic I did a few days ago doesn't seem too awful now that I'm off my cold meds.  So, looks like I've got a little story arc going.  What was that I said about Springaling being continuity-free?  I'm such a stinkin' liar.

The "sound effects" in the final panel were a last-minute addition.  I was about to post it, but when I gave it a final once-over I realized it looked like Springtrap was punching the Puppet in the head.  That would not have been comedy.  At least, not the kind of comedy I do.  If you like that kind of comedy I don't want to know about it.

No, that's a still from the TV series.  Mads Mikkelson looks nothing like Anthony Hopkins.

Okay...
God, kinda glad he ISN'T watching one of those movies - I forgot which one that was in, but he basically drugged the guy, cut his head open and started eating.

That part of the story was moch more planned out.  Hannibal had the meal planned, both in terms of the main course and the staging for Clarice.  The brain was cut out, then cooked at the table before being served.  Be glad the movie didn't follow the book closely at that point, because it would have been NC-17.

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy, though.  Chilton was a vile man.

I don't think that the Fredbear Plush would help since Fredbear Chomped on The Boy's head an if he saw anything fredbear related he would Freak the hell out. Im just saying, im not trying to dis, your work, im just being honest but Great Picture 100/100, A+++

One would think so.  But in the child's memories Fredbear was always watching over him, and at the end Fredbear's plushie was the one who was still his friend.  He's terrified of the full-sized animatronics, but the dolls are okay.

I ddon't think that would happen in one day.  It's take a LOT of days to accomplish a paradigm shift like that.

Hm.............. Ya know I actually guessed that at first but wanted to actually know if I was right by saying a different version of my well said comment. Also it would be a lot of days cause of how possibly no one would be able to handle his rudeness (I am actually being realistic saying it would probably be a big thing to handle springaling and his constant rudeness and reminding people of his murderings) so thanks for responding and your work is excellent (I'm saying that cause I saw your work like yesterday, looked through it all and you have beautiful art. The art I most like is your fnaf art since your art style is beautiful.

I can never stop smiling at these Springalings. Your Springtrap- and Marionette’s expressions keeps getting more and more expressive without detracting too much of what’s their original default faces. I Love it!

Haha! Woah! There's quite the power in that wodden chest of his! Springtrap’s ears are even bending backwards through the sheer force of Marionette's mighty voice!

Here’s where this might go in two separate ways; Either BOB would keep his word (which he didn’t specifically give in the first place, though) or he retracts it just only for the heck of it and because Fredbear, in his eyes is his. Why would he ever give up his most precious possesion which holds many ”good” memories to him for a ghost brat? (These are not my true thoughts about the poor ghost child, but more my guesses to how our ”dear” Mr. Eggplant’s reasoning might be wired.)

But if BOB gave Fredbear to The Child, would that action somehow trigger something positive? Like a memory? Perhaps a childhood memory? Or maybe anything positive that didn't include maiming and causing misery unless BOB is a truly born psychopath. I don’t think giving away the doll would immediately absolve Springtrap or change him, but it might be a tiny baby step in the right direction. Depending also of why he would give Fredbear away to The Child.

The last panel is my absolute favorite!

The ear-bending thing--heh, The Puppet hasn't raised his voice; if he had it'd be in a larger font.  But he's getting a lot of force out anyway.  Kind of like channeling a fire hose through a drinking straw.

You are so good at spotting details!  No, BOBtrap never promised to hand over the bear.  Would he do it to be nice or to honor an implied agreement?  What do you think?  If he chooses not to, The Puppet has a choice: he can use his powers of persuasion, or he can just take the dang dolly.  Which seems more likely?  On the other hand, if Springtrap actually did give The Puppet the doll, it'd probably break the Puppet's brain.

A discarded line from the script:  "Please?  I haven't heard that since the last time someone begged me for his life."  I decided that was a little too dark for this comic, and just went with generalized jackassery.

That’s what makes this scene so funny! And the metaphor sums this up so well.

Thank you! That's really kind of you! And wow, I don't know! The story carry so many possibilities that are seemingly infinite!

I’m not sure if Ian the Marionette's persuasion skills could appeal to Springtrap’s nonexistent goodness and work because it has so far been like trying to mix oil and water together. Unless, the powers you were writing about involves a gift box?

I also wouldn’t be surprised if Ian took the plushy since he’s could be worked up by Springtrap’s stubborn and unsympathetic behavior. But doing so might push Springtrap into a frenzy with not so pleasant end results (I’m thinking back at how Springle reacted after the realising he'd been played like a fiddle by the night guard in RwaBC).

And giving the doll out of niceness does not become BOBBY, at least, not of what's been shown of his character. If it would indeed be the case, would he do so out of a small rare moment of humanity? However, it certainly would be more of a comedic standpoint that Springtrap gave Fredbear to Marionette just to mess with his head and by own internal reasoning he can always steal it back later. After all, he’s not giving away the dolly, more using it as another way of amusement at poor Marionette’s expense.

All the scenarios are only mere speculations on my part, but each of them carries a possibility to happen (if I've understood their personalities right).

True it's dark, but fits in the sense of BOB's character. Perhaps that line could pop up somewhere else in another story?

Negaduck9 In reply to Mirage-Epoque [2015-08-02 17:20:28 +0000 UTC]

The Puppet has methods of persuasion that we have not yet seen.  It's his natural inclination to be nice (apologizing for calling Springtrap a jerk?  Sheesh.) but if it's for the right cause he could get...harsh.  He wouldn't steal the doll...but then, it's not like Springtrap bought that doll; he just found it and claimed it.  And maybe Ian would be willing to accept a blemish on his record if it would help the bitten kid.

And, yeah, it would perfectly in character for Springtrap to just take the doll back.  Can you imagine what would happen if he did?  Shoot, can you imagine what would happen if the grey ghost saw Springtrap looming over him?

Mirage-Epoque In reply to Negaduck9 [2015-08-02 18:55:26 +0000 UTC]

That's really interesing! I'm really curious to see how this might unfold, but how's your eyes now?

I doubt anyone here would think any less of Ian for losing his patience with Springtrap. Nobody in the whole world is perfect and sometimes there are situations where you have to put your foot down.

Oh... Oh dear Lord...! Yes, I can imagine and I feel like such a terrible person for laughing like an idiot at this, but the "Scream" is such a perfect reaction for Ghost boy to have if this scenario where to happen. Holy Moley! If The Nightmare's were big terrifying counterparts of the cute plushies, how much more monsterous wouldn't Springtrap (who's already not a pretty sight to behold) look in The Child's field of vision in his mind?!

I think perhaps it could go something like this;
Springtrap "gives" Fredbear to Marionette, making the latter's mind go BSOD. Then after feeling he had enough with fun at Marionette's expense, Springtrap steals the plushie from the Nameless Child who maybe turns into an even worse mess than before, after losing his only best friend to one of the Monsters. Marionette tries to reason with Springle.  Springle behaves in his usual "charming" manner. What ever kind of methods of persuasion Marionette would use against Mr. D. Noddle, I'd rather sit back and watch for myself than trying to guess he might do.

Extra note! These words were only my brain thinking very out loud and you don't have to go for this route at all. These are your characters and your story and you decide for how you want everything to go. No matter how it'll turn out, I'm going to happily read it with great interest.

Negaduck9 In reply to Mirage-Epoque [2015-08-02 21:22:58 +0000 UTC]

I think that the Nightmares were the counterparts of the animatronics.  Huge and scary, with alarming teeth...but on the other hand, we only see Fredbear and Gold Bonnie in animatronic (and walkaround) form; the others were only present as toys.  So, unless the kid did see the others as animatronics but only remembers Freddy and Bonnie in the cutscenes because they were on stage at the time of the bite, there goes my theory.

Feel free to speculate all you like on my story!  I like to see what comes to other people's minds, whether or not it matches what's in mine.  I will say that, while I plan for it to go in another direction, The Puppet has a very unpleasant surprise coming up.
