OMG! Sonic fan art! THE SKY IS FALLING!!! Actually waaaay back between 1993-95 I use to draw a lot of sonic art. Kinda did this to see if I remember how to do it.... Sadly I needed a lot of references to get this done. My biggest problem was his head.... Yes his head... Mostly the eyes since I'm so use to drawing eyes together like that. Yeah I know the buckle is on the wrong side on his right foot but all in all I feel it came out pretty good after so many years of not drawing him.Related content

This is free hand actually. Paper and ink =]. Buuuut i used Photoshop to mess around with the contrast and all XD;;

Besides the fact that it's been forever since you last drew Sonic, it doesn't help that they changed his design to the Sonic Adventure "modern sonic" style since then.
Despite that, this is a nice piece. It's definitely refreshing to see something actually worthwhile in the Sonic Club.

I sorta like the modern Sonic mainly because he looks older. Just glad they didn't add cloths to him @.x

Oh, I agree. I wasn't dissing Modern Sonic in any way. I too like his design because now not only does he look like the "teenager" he has claimed so long to be, but he also fits a more modern style of today. Sure, Classic Sonic's cute, but put up next to anything created after 2000, he sticks out like a retro sore thumb.
So, long story short, if SEGA wanted Sonic to continue being liked by new players, they really had no choice but to redesign him, and all-in-all, I think the new design really works.

yeah. I just wish they made Sonic's personality consistent. Since theres Game Sonic and Archie Comic Sonic.

Though in the comics, he has a much more rounded personality, since comics are more story-focused than video games.
