Liberals are radical in my opinion. However I think being radical can be a good thing if it's necessary to have radical change in the society you live in to protect the rights of the people or for other reasons. (Like right now in the U.S.A)
Liberals- Favor a Radical social Justice. (How definitions of "Justice" vary)
Moderate- Status Quo
Conservative- Favor a Reactionary Social Order. (Definitions of "order" can vary)

It goes both ways... I think both sides honestly have no idea what the word means. In other words, I totally agree with you !

You know, sometimes I wonder what political debate would be like if everyone was educated. It's an overly idealistic dream, but I wonder. I mean, imagine people calling a policy socialist, actually knowing what it means and not as an insult.
