I believe those are the actual 'Heads' of the creature as the more practical looking head is used for reproduction. But I could be wrong, I'm sort of new to this general animal set/ecosystem

Because I explored Snaiad after the official site wรกs down, can I ask you something about the animals?
I thought they had two "heads", but these have three? I know the one on the chest is a "feeding head" and that the upper one protects the reproductive organs, but what is the other "tongue" under the chin for?

PeteriDish In reply to PeteriDish [2012-01-24 16:21:16 +0000 UTC]

Wait. are they what I think they are?

Your creature designs are cool... How big are these guys compared to humans?

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

nemo-ramjet In reply to Serulfen [2011-04-18 07:04:54 +0000 UTC]

Not too big actually, they are the size of dogs, badgers and foxes.

Just a question I would like answered about these creatures: they do not, as a rule, go after humans, do they? They strike me as rather shy creatures, terribly sensitive to light, as many nocturnal predators tend to be, so I would imagine they avoid human habitation or wherever humans have set themselves up.

I also find it rather interesting that the Selenocyon you've depicted here has its second head draped over its first. Does it do that on purpose?

I love the texture on Selenocyon's back. Great designs with believable anatomy.

Woah, yeah, these are crazy. Very strange when compared to other, more proper snaiadi vertebrates like kahydronts. Nice!

These animals are amazing! One problem though is that I don't see them on your featured deviations palate though.

Also, thank you for canonizing my giant red anteater and simplified picozoan.

Would you draw also these arthrognathan river snake and bugsalmon? I wonder how exactly non "vertebrate" Snaiad life forms look like.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 1

nemo-ramjet In reply to Preradkor [2008-11-25 14:58:07 +0000 UTC]

I'll make drawings of arthrognathans very soon.

Nice lifeforms, impressive. Are the land animals of Snaiad based on the daggerwrist from Alien Planet? Also I heard that you'll except art work for more species. Can I do one? And is alright if we create more groups.

Okay it's done. It's call Snaiad Mehve. If you can't find it on search, then look for it in my gallery.

It's always a pleasure to see more Snaiad stuff from you, Nemo.
One of the things I find most fascinating about Snaiad is its depth of evolutionary history. It gives the whole project a nice feeling of time and mystery.

๐Ÿ‘: 0 โฉ: 2

nemo-ramjet In reply to M0AI [2008-11-25 14:59:07 +0000 UTC]

Thanks man, without the interest of ppl like you, Snaiad could never evolve!

Sphenacodon In reply to M0AI [2008-11-19 20:25:15 +0000 UTC]

As opposed to, say, Expedition, a beautiful book with zero evolutionary backstory.
