What would the human race look like in a thousand years? Well I don't know, but I thought we could live in a world where the atmosphere has become so toxic that we have evolved masks that settles over our face and there's organic filter tubes that give us the ability to breathe cleaner air. The smog became so bad that our eyes evolved to be able to see through it but have probably lost the way we see things today. Mostly I was inspired by Predator from the movie of the same name. Also the mask opens up...like that of Predator XD.Done with watercolour paint and pencils. Completed in September 2016.

I remember when you talked about this assignment. Your view of the future is super bleak, I hope we don't destroy our planet like that.... We probably will. The purple/pink tones in the skin make it look so raw and tender. I see a lot of pain in our future. Did you picture the aggression and ruthlessness of a Predator being passed on to humanity as well? I kind of want to know what the narrative for this guy is.

Oh yeah I have no faith in humanity in saving the world and all that lives upon it 
I tried to make it look like translucent skin so the muscle tissue can been seen clearly. Then people starting tell me it reminds them of Freiza from Dragonball Z. Pfft, dey don't knooow me.
Umm, I hadn't thought that far ahead to be honest. If I had to say, probably survival is the utmost priority so I guess they're a bit more aggressive but probably still have honour. They wouldn't be complete animals, I mean they were human. The men would be hunters like Predator and the women I guess would be gatherers and farmers, that's if the earth could sustain plant life, judging by the background, not really.

I had to look up what that character was, but I don't think it looks like it. I could definitely see the musculature you're talking about.
It sounds like we're going back to a very primitive lifestyle.
