Description This was for the second half of our first assignment in my metals/jewelry class. It is a nonobjective ring, and as you can see it's not reccomended to be worn..Actually, my professor got it stuck on her finger for a while there, it was rather funny! For any who care, I got an 89


Made with copper, copper tubing, and plastic tubing

Patina is a boiling water technique, the "stars" are then waxed with special tree wax
Tube is a giant tube rivet where the ends are not fully riveted down

How did you get that coloring? Color pencils is my guess.

Actually it was a boiling water patina, where I heated the metal and then dropped it into boiling water. It's not a predictable patina method, but the nice thing is that it's easy to scrub off and retry if you don't like the effect the first time around
