Delectatio Morosa is, according to the Catholic Encyclopedia, the pleasure taken in a sinful thought or imagination even without desiring it. Also known as an internal sin.I don't know why, but lately, I've been flirting with my roots in the Catholic church ...but don't expect to see a heathen like me at mass anytime soon!
This image never started out like this. I had an idea of what I wanted and hours after tinkering here and there (and deleting what I had done many times over), this is what emerged ...and I'm actually happy with it.

Actually, Christianity is full of wonderful symbology. It's fun to play around with. Hehe. I like this piece. It's creepy and beautiful and just...pretty. I don't know. I like how the swirls seem to come from her hair, and the halo and barbed wire. Nice work!
