Description Sleep won't come
The screams won't stop
From deep inside of me
It wells
The flesh is weak
The mind is restless
I cannot hear myself
Over the voices of my selves
Whispering, plotting
I am my own greatest love
I am my own greatest hate
Counting the hours
Counting the pills
How many until my arms grow numb?
How many until we rest?
I have learned to scorn
The sunrise
And view the moon
With dread and contempt
Neither night nor day
Offer me release
From my own torment
I have formed a hell for myself
Of countless cigarettes
And endless waking
Silence myself
One more pill
Now with slumber

courting Morpheus? he is an elusive paramour . . . I know. I court him often. not successfully, mind . . . but occasionally he deigns to grace me with his embrace. and that for me is Heaven enough . . . . beautifully writ, luv, and wondrously wrought . . . .

Morpheus and I haven't really been on speaking terms lately. He does hold a serious grudge!

Thank you!

I think if you were to accidentally sneeze on him, he'd hold a grudge with you. He's so....sensitive? Maybe that's not the right word. He's like dreams themselves, fickle and unstable.

I think sensitive is pretty close to the right word! touchy as well. hmph! wonder how one goes about placating the god of sleep?!?! I know what to do for his brother . . .. that guy and I are on rather intimate terms. but sleep? . . . . . definitely fickle and unstable!!!

*lol* You know what? I always forget about Hypnos! Even ancient drawing that I've seen of him, he's always passed out on something!

It's either that or he just parties with Dionysus too much!

You know what? I'd love to see a video called Gods Gone Wild: Greece!

Hmm...I don't think we'd need to even wonder about what Zeus would be caught doing!

I wonder....isn't it proper to consdier Hades to be the original Goth?

yeah . . . Zeus will be pretty predictable . . .. *snickers* the perv!!!

yanno, I always thought of the Egyptian deities as the original goths . . . hell, they started the whole make-up thing! pale, dark lined eyes . . . way dead and exotic. though I suppose Hades and Persephone did start it for the Greeks . . . .. hmmmmmmm . . . .. interesting line of thought!!

You are right! The Egyptian Gods were the first Goths!
Wait a minute....I knew I saw Anubis at the Goth club that night!

I tried the tea. It worked for a little bit, then stopped working. Hmmm...though it could have been the amoung of sugar I put in it.

anaknisatanas In reply to neserit [2005-08-12 03:28:44 +0000 UTC]

it could have been the amount of sugar... or you could try and see a doctor or a nurse practioner and see if they will put you on Trazadone which is an anti-depressant but it's also used for people who need something long term to take for insomnia.

Will do and thank you.

I saw him and he thinks that I've always had my condition, but 9/11 was actually the trigger for it. I think I told Jasp about which part effected me the most.

anaknisatanas In reply to neserit [2005-08-19 00:17:39 +0000 UTC]

it could be that the condition was dormant or not very prominate and didn't really come out until 9/11 but you're probably right. I hope that things look up now that you've been to see this doc. take care hun and I'm here for you.
