Description Lilith is--without a doubt--my favorite goddess/demon (it all depends on perception).
She was a strong woman, a creature of power who refused to play inferior to the male sex... especially when it came to bedroom activities.

Her history is rich and her origins are shadowy since no one knows where she truly came from. Despite her rep as a child killer, she is still honored in my home.

/ high five for that one. As to the child killer bit, I've always heard it told that she never killed children but stole them away to replace the 100 of her own children that were killed everyday. She is one of my favorite archetypes as well and has always had a special place in my heart. As to the Adam and Eve myth about the snake 'misleading' poor Eve, I always believed that Lilith was the snake and she was inducting Eve in the rites and priviledges of her own power and sexuality. Therefore, this piece deserves an A++++++++++++++++++ for beautifully representing one of my favorite stories of all time. Thank you for sharing it.

I too believe she is misunderstood. Lilith rocks.

I love how you described Lilith, and completely agree with you, she is a misunderstood goddess in my eyes.

This is a beautiful picture.

Lilith rocks! I love this. how the snake is just crawling all over her. The perspective of the piece pretty much describes Lilith's myths.

Oh wonderful, underappreciated and over looked Lilith ........ such an amazing, hidden history .... and like all things ... since history is written by the winners there is no such thing as true history .... just biased opinions .... great work.

That is so true that history is written by the winners. The book 1984 tried to teach that lesson.
For Lilith, she had the worst reputation that was not deserved. I've been trying to track all mention of her in an book, holy or otherwise. In almost every case, she was there, then erased out of it.

One day we're gods, the next, we're myth.

Lilith has a reputation she doesnt deserve. Definately honoured in my home as well.

Another remarkable concept nicely executed... -- I do have an idea about the snake involving moving it over, duplicating layers and erasing so that the looped bit at the bottom is hidden, yet it still looks like the snake is slithering up dear Lilith...

Still -- a fav for me...

I am going to be reworking on this image and fixing that troublesome snake! It gave me a hard time all while I was doing it.

Glad that you still like it and that Lilith is still honored by you.

You always have the most awsome poses. The snake looks a little out of place, pasted I guess you could say, maybe a little blurring around the edges, but still a very awsome piece.
