Description
Along this road out of Hell,I spied great Lucifer
Reading Voltaire and smoking a fine cigar
I waved to him with a smile
And He motioned for me to draw closer
I agreed and as I sat with Lucifer,
He began to speak,
“How long can you hit a snake before it bites you?”
I did not need to think, “Only once.”
Lucifer shook His head, “Not always.
Sometimes, the snake bites without being hit.
Without even the slightest ounce of
Threat towards it.”
“I see.” I smirked, wondering what His point was
Instead, Lucifer shook His head and smiled,
“No, you don’t.
How many times have you bitten without being hit?”

I had more, but in the course of moving several times, I lost them. You gave me an idea to keep going with these. Especially when I hit my bad moments. They saved me once, they can do it again.
Thank you.
