I prefer the first version, it is softer, but this one is very nice too. IMO combining both is the best.

You should make a tutorial for GIMP(I only can use that^^). Do you just use a mouse for your pics? just don't know how to get shades and outlines like this XD.
Here a PokΓ©snack for your Mudkip to make it happy^^*give it to Mudkip*
Your style rocks!

I made a sketch with the mouse, then traced it over with pen tool lineart. I know the pen tool exists on GIMP and I know you can draw sketches there too, so things should work out with you.
Yay, Pokesnack makes Mudkip happy. X3
And thanks, I'm glad you like my style.

Come to think of it, I prefer this shading style much more than the other one.
It's more "smooth and soothing", if you catch my drift.

I know what you mean there. I can definitely see why one would say this looks just as "smooth" or "soothing" than the other. Thanks for giving the time to share your opinion, I appreciate it.

I think the last one looks better... for the shading seems to be more detailed. But this one doesn't look bad anyway!

I think the first one is better :3 still extremely cute <3 but uhm..the colors are more vivid on this picture :3 I'm not sure which I like more...vivid colors or gradient shading/lighting...

It's a hard decision indeed, I'm going through the same thing myself. XD
Thanks for leaving a comment, much appreciated. ^_^
