The idea is really nice and unique....love how you carried it out. Those beautiful water ripples and the effect of his body through the water too. Soooo cool. 
Also looooove your shading omigosh. The look on his face, the snout and eye shape, the colouring to the fluff, and his mane toooo. Eeee.
