Description This is the final sketch I did for my friend Andrew. He wanted a tattoo of Athena the goddess of Wisdom and War. It's kinda cool to think that this is going to be on somebody's body for the rest of their lives (or until he gets it zapped off).

Just informationally, the sign of Her shield represents an ancient Athenian coin, named "mna". Nowadays, you can find it on the back side of Hellenic version of the 1€ coin.

I think that you should have drawn her face instead of the helmet cuz theres this feminine look then this manly helmet i think it would have look better with just her holding the sheild and spear with no helmet

That's was what my friend asked for, he was pretty specific. I would have liked to have played up her feminine qualities as well (and I tried to sell him on a version with the mask up). He wanted to emphasize her role as goddess of war and wisdom. I'm still happy with the result, but it was more important that he got what he wanted.
