Description I remembered something about how mentioning Elon Musk with the Wright Brothers and Zephram Cochrane on, "The Butcher's Knife Cares Not for the Lamb's Cry," didn't age well, or listed as poor writing -- especially from haters, purists and gatekeepers who have proven they can't tell the difference between the USS Enterprise and the Millennium Falcon.

Today, we know Elon Musk as being more like a DC villain like Lex Luthor. But back in 2017 when the episode aired, he was simply a controversial figure with massive ambitions.

But Star Trek has been known for saying something that was believed to be true at the time, but debunked today by today's standards.

These include:

The Cogenitor (2003) - When Trip said there were only 2 genders on Earth. Even biology says that's not true with hermaphrodites, Swyer syndrome, and XX men.

11:59 (1999) - When Neelix said you could see the Great Wall of China from space. You can't.

Star Trek 5: The Final Frontier (1989) - Sybok said Columbus proved the Earth was round. We now know it was actually Eratosthenes in 240 BC who calculated the size of the Earth, and Aristotle and Pythagoras also said the Earth was round.

And the Vikings landed in what is now North America -- specifically Newfoundland, Canada -- in 1021, more than 400 years before Columbus.

Plus Columbus was bad at math thinking the Earth was much smaller, and shaped like a pear. And the idea of flat Earth didn't start until around 1874 and 1896 with John William Draper and Andrew Dickson White.

Tomorrow is Yesterday (1967) - they said a dark star instead of saying a neutron star or black hole. Though black holes have been known as early as 1964, the term black hole wasn't coined until 1968.

I suspect future Trek's will say something that's true today, but years down the road will be debunked by more modern research.

And aliens did NOT build the pyramids, and are NOT on the latitude that matches the speed of lights since the metric system didn't exist during the time of the pyramids.
