Elizabeth is a bit on the quiet side and she prefers not to speak more than necessary – if a nod will suffice for an answer without seeming too rude, a nod will do. She more than often find herself in a situation where she simply does not know what to say, and icebreaking isn’t a great forte of hers. She does enjoy attention, but not when the attention is on herself – she would much rather you pay attention to her art. As soon as the subject falls on music or anything possibly related to music, she opens up a great deal more and engages in discussion with a passion that emerges from her love for what she does. She has not had many deep friendships during her life and death and to befriend her will probably take quite a bit of patience as she tends to focus a lot on herself and not too much on other people. She enjoys watching other people and make up stories for them in her head, which often causes her to crush on people she has not even been introduced to. She falls in and out of love easily, and when in love she tends to sigh a lot and , if talkative, dwell a lot on the pains and suffering one must go through in life in order to find the one. She doesn’t tend to hold grudges for long, but if her first impression of someone is that they have no taste (in music) or that they are somewhat lesser intelligent, it is pretty hard to shake this impression. A romantic gesture, however, might soften her attitude towards you greatly.

Born in Spain during a somewhat chaotic time of many changes, somewhere around the1860ies, Elizabeth grew up as the single child of an English musician and a Spanish woman. Her family was small but loving and she grew up being adored and slightly spoiled. She showed talent for practicing and composing music quite early, something that was very much encouraged by her father who nicknamed her ‘his little genius’. Which might have gone to her head a little and made her feel like she was somehow a little better than her average peers. During this time of her childhood she was introduced to several stringed instruments and to the piano, but ‘she’ finally chose to focus on the violin as her instrument.

Around the age of 10-11 her family immigrated from Spain to France to avoid being caught between the opposing parties in the Third Carlist War and the young girl had to learn yet another language – She never quite got to master French as well as Spanish or English, but to this date she still adore the Country of Amour and thinks of it as one of the greatest times of her life. Unfortunately she never quite got the fame she had begun to hunger for as her father sent her away to school, and only a few years later she got sick and had to return home where she spent almost a year secluded inside and bedridden most of the time till her body finally gave in and her life ended. The time spent in bed left her bored and irritable and in the end made her refuse most human company in favour of her made-up daydreams and stories about the people and the world she was no longer part of. Many of her weirder habits like that probably started during this time and never quite left her.

Somehow though, the large amount of regret over her pitiful end and the fact that she never reached her goal kept her anchored to this earth. Instead of moving on to wherever the proper road for souls lead, Elizabeth woke up on a field of grass in a place she hardly remembered seeing before. Her memories of her past are rather foggy and as she was unable to track down what was left of her family, she moved on – finally free to explore the world and become the world-famous musician and composer that she had always wanted to be. The life as a ghost isn’t exactly as exciting as it may sound though and she spent a great deal of time alone, never quite getting the opportunity she felt she needed. More than ten years as a wandering spirit left her hope of ever getting anywhere fading until she met a weird-looking girl and discovered a Circus that only opens at night. She now hopes to get closer to her dream and who knows, maybe fall in love or eventually be able to pass on. (after becoming world famous of course)

Elizabeth isn't see-through and neither is her skin grey or her eyes shining in the dark. Actually, it might have been hard to know that she wasn't a normal girl if it wasn't because of her ability to walk through solid walls and the fact that her skin is cold to the touch. She is a spirit and doesn't really weight anything, thus she could float around if she felt like it (and if she quite knew how) but she chooses to walk on her feet like a normal person. Her attire is more or less just as much spirit as she is and part of her, while her instrument of choice (violin or, at times, a guitar) is very much the real thing and something she tries to carry with her at all times.
