Modeling a Moebius knot with terracota must be a bit difficult, i think it's more easy with topmod. Thank for your comment

This is absolutely beautiful! Are there 3 or 4 of the pink bands? I make geometric wood carvings and would love to understand this form a little better. Could you post a cross section of it? Or any hints on ways to fully grasp what exactly is happening here? Again, beautiful shape and lovely computer work to model it.

Thank you much for the links. I found the wireframe models to be very helpful. I now understand that the shape is two Mobius strips interlaced. I am now closer to carving it out of wood. . . I will let you know when I do. Thanks again, and great work on your computer model.

Sweet classic! I once found an easy way to create these tori actually is subtracting a Scherk-Collins surface from a simple torus. This way you even can avoid the touching spokes.
