Yah... totally gutted for no reason. Got to the point where they made no sense. Like the roadrunner cartoons and they edited out all the things that happen to the coyote. He could fall, but you never see him hit. No explosions. Totally worthless. The worst was them trying to ban Speedy Gonzales because it might offend a spanish-speaker somewhere. At least there the Mexican people said "We love him! Go take a flying leap!"

I saw a couple of those -- for @&@%'s sake, they're cartoons! Anyone who would 'be offended or upset by acts of violence' in that format would probably have more serious problems than worrying about if Wile E. Coyote really got hurt or not...

about ten years ago I got a newbie from depot, she meant well, but pure screwup...I started calling her Boo Boo...she got the refrence...said "you mean Yogi's nephew." it floored me...Yogi and Boo Boo were just a couple of bears who shared a cave in Jellystone when I was a kid...but apparently some yahoo thought that an older bear and a younger bear sharing a cave had some kind of homosexual over tones...so the guys at Hanna-Barbera did a quick fix...I suppose that means Babba Louie is a bad sterotype too...too bad he always seemed smarter than Quickdraw...

Yah People should leave that stuff alone. When we were kids we didn't notice or care about what they all are concerned about and when we did notice it finally we were old enough to handle it. Oh well.

yeah...and all that crap about violence in cartoons making kids more violent...I lost track of the number of time I saw an anvil dropped on one cartoon character or another...I've never even thought about dropping an anvil on anyone...when they started releasing the classic Looney Tunes on DVD I picked them up...my kids were teenagers...they'd only ever seen the edited versions...the uncut ones were a real suprise to them...it was a joy to behold...

Absolutely. My favorite of all was and is the original 60s Jonny Quest. It taught values. Guns were something to respect. They didn't miss with red or blue light and if someone got shot they didn't get up and run away. Also, if you were evil you were punished and that meant death. It had bad guys dying in the freakin' credits! Also just normal values too... do your homework, respect your elders, treat people fairly.... If and when I have kids it'll be the only show they'll watch

just don't let them watch Rocket Robinhood or the Amazing Spiderman...terrible animation made on the cheap in Montreal in the 60's on the cheap...shudder...
