Description
Inspired by nichodo.deviantart.com/journal… to make this Variant of the Nebula class.okay so when i saw 's journal of the Castaways Nebula class rethink it made me want to make this Warp sled version of the Nebula which he describes as docking with a Galaxy class saucer that had lost their Stardrive section to a warp core breach and then carrying them to the nearest starbase.

One of my favorite ship designs from TNG era. Nice to her 'topless'. LOL.

I am not sure if you would know the answer but does the NEW ORLEANS class ships have the ability to separate the saucer section? or maybe not at all. The NEW ORLEANS is supposed to be an everyday 'workhorse', a "beast of burden" as the saying goes. She is another one of my favorites but we really didn't get to see much of her even though it's a canon design.

I would think it's capable of doing so but in the same way as the Constitution Class in that they would need external support from a starbase to be reconnected.

Couldn’t a standard Galaxy Class vessel be retrofitted to become a warp sled?
also, guys (you; nichodo, and kaisernaithan; feel free to check out my gallery for design ideas, as I have designs in my gallery that have yet to be made real.....

The reason I Chose a Saucerless Nebula Class as the warp sled is because it takes less resources to build than a Galaxy Class Secondary Hull due to the smaller profile.
