Description
Godzilla vs. The Cloverfield Monster(Pen and digital color)
I made this right after seeing Cloverfield. Of course, at the point I drew this, I was just going on what I remembered from the movie and the few stills of the monster on the web. Although this picture came out well, in my opinion, the fact that Clovey is wrong makes me dislike it. Thus, into 'My Scraps' it goes.

You are right. I also don't think that the actual size of Godzilla would give him any real advantage over the Cloverfield monster. Just everything else.

If Clover's father is large enough to swallow Godzilla & is trying to do so after Godzilla has defeated Clover, that'd be a big problem with Godzilla & Godzilla has to blow up the parent with nuclear pulse as a last resort!

What I think would happen is an adult cloverfield swallows godzilla, the. Godzilla claws his way out and kill it from the inside.

So do you think the mutos(or maybe Zilla jr) will also do the same if something like this happens?

okay here's my point, the monster we saw in the movie is actually a baby so if godzilla fights his mom........

If Clover as a full grown adult is as big as over 180-300 meters & above & will have difficulty moving & will also starve, suffocate & get exhausted easily as it moves too fast due to its weight & its bones according size since its slender narrow limbs did not seem to fit the size perfectly, couldn't this be adult Clover's weakness?!

But eating too much food can also increase its weight!

he came from the sea so the bones must be strong and the body must have been very tough to withstand that pressure and his lungs should be insanely strong as well

Pyro-raptor In reply to Josefbajarias [2014-08-11 08:17:03 +0000 UTC]
i mean it will also have a hard time moving on land & even if it can survive underwater, so wouldn't it get exhausted as it moves on land too fast due to its sheer weight?

lets say as for a female mother Clover which is pregnant, this is more likely to happen.

Pyro-raptor In reply to Josefbajarias [2014-08-12 12:34:34 +0000 UTC]
Because pregnant animals tend to be weaker & get hungry easily.

So the Clover's mother if much bigger than the height of 150 meters & above will become a remorseless eating machine so it'll desperately & irresistibly try to devour Godzilla alive!

Because if much bigger at the size of over 200-300 meters tall, Clover as an adult esp. the mum may also suffer from the natural setbacks like starvation.

Yes indeed! I think it would all boil down to whether or not his heat ray could kill an adult version of the Cloverfield monster. If it failed, I think the game would be over for Godzilla.

s1cohen In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-08 22:32:35 +0000 UTC]
I think the nuclear pulse would be his only option, or superheating his body like he did in Godzilla 2000. If that didn't work, I don't know what, if anything, he could do.

Pyro-raptor In reply to s1cohen [2014-11-26 03:37:06 +0000 UTC]

s1cohen In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-09 18:23:04 +0000 UTC]
Yes, I think so. An adult Clover would be too large for Godzilla to prevail in hand-to-hand combat, and I'm not certain that his atomic breath would be effective.

s1cohen In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-11 21:31:19 +0000 UTC]
I think Zilla would lose, especially against an adult Clover. Zilla would have the agility, but he'd be no match for its strength. Also, the parasites that cover Clover and his species would kill Zilla.

Pyro-raptor In reply to s1cohen [2014-08-11 22:57:20 +0000 UTC]

Pyro-raptor In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-12 00:15:23 +0000 UTC]
because larger animals need more food than smaller so if the adult is many times bigger than godzilla, wouldn't it have trouble walking due to its weight & also starve hungrily as it move about & this uses a lot of energy(esp. its the mother it lays eggs because mother animals after producing babies will get ravenous easily) so the adult will become a remorseless eating machine which tries devour Godzilla whole & also gobble up any other kaiju like Zilla while underestimating Godzilla at the same time?!

s1cohen In reply to Pyro-raptor [2014-08-10 23:24:13 +0000 UTC]
True, an adult Cloverfield monster wouldn't be able to support its own weight. Then again, neither would Godzilla. A commentator on another site mentioned that Godzilla's bones would have to be made of titanium in order to support him.
Good point. The creature might underestimate Godzilla, which would be a fatal mistake.

oh yes if clover as an adult is unable to support its own weight, wouldn't adult Clover also get exhauseted easily which could be Clover's weakness & isn't it due to its narrow & slender limbs which did not seem to match its weight perfectly?
